Metal recycling actually reduces pollutants, eliminates significant manufacturing and mining waste and contributes to an overall greener planet.

With state-of-the-art and industry-leading training and expertise, our environmental division can help you dispose of and manage:

  • Hazardous waste
  • Universal Waste including
  • Appliances
    • Freon recovery
    • Tires
    • U-WED
    • Vehicle de-pollution
  • Radiation detection systems
  • Stormwater

SA is a leader in environmental protection, continuously expanding our environmental BMPs (Best Management Practices) to remain at the top of our industry, using extensive dust control systems such as sprinkler systems and water trucks to maintain wet material by using recycled facility water. In addition, we lead the industry in non-operating environmental protection with our efforts to reduce greenhouse gases and our reliance on the power grid. SA recently installed a half Megawatt solar system at our Anaheim facility that produces enough energy to power 120 homes for a year.

Another innovative program is the Storm Water Treatment program. SA Recycling has participated in the General Industrial Storm Water Permit program since its inception. Through continued testing and experimentation, SA is constantly making efforts to lead the industry in BMPs. SA Recycling takes pride in the fact its storm water program that is among the very best in our industry and serves as a model for industry standards.
