The Ambassador had many kind words to say about SA Recycling, commenting on the tour and the technology that the facility employs. He stated that the work that SA Recycling does is good for the environment and trade relations for both countries.[caption id="attachment_186" align="alignnone" width="300" caption="George Adams speaking to the group"][/caption] [caption id="attachment_187" align="alignnone" width="300" caption="South Korean Ambassador speaking to the group"][/caption]
Monday, January 24th, 2011 marked the day a former Prime Minister and current Ambassador from South Korea toured and met with our President and CEO George Adams. The Ambassador, along with the Long Beach and US Chamber of Commerce started the day with a boat tour of the Port of Long Beach and luncheon with the all five LB Port Harbor Commissioners. George attended the luncheon where the small group spoke about the importance of the free trade agreement and it’s impact on the port and US industries that export products to Korea. In five years 95% of the current tariffs will be erased, offering competitive market free trade for both countries. This free trade will benefit SA Recycling by allowing more industrial goods to be produced, thus increasing the need for metal products.
