Scrap Metal Buyer- Paso Robles, CA
We have an immediate need for scrap metal buyer to join our team. This team member will be responsible for:
• Operate safety equipment, and use safe work habits.
• Examine, select, order, and purchase at the most favorable price merchandise consistent with quality, quantity, specification requirements and other factors.
• Negotiate prices, discount terms and transportation arrangements for merchandise.
• Analyze and monitor sales records, trends and economic conditions to anticipate consumer buying patterns and determine what the company will sell and how much inventory is needed.
• Inspect merchandise or products to determine value or yield.
• Quote rates and selling prices to customers.
• Confer with sales and purchasing personnel to obtain information about customer needs and preferences.
• Consult with managers about budget and goods to be purchased.

We require:
• Compliance with all applicable federal, state, local, & SA Recycling safety, health, & environmental rules, regulations, policies, & procedures.
• High school diploma required.
• Associates or Bachelors degree preferred.
• Minimum one year previous experience in a similar role.
• Previous experience in the recycling business or recyclable commodities industry preferred.
• Excellent math and computer skills required.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) required.
• Excellent Microsoft Office quite skills required.
